Palm Island youth voices in print
April 28th, 2009Last week young people from Palm Island did screen printing at PCYC, Jimeka
Richardson and Rae Rae Clumpoint wrote this report for the Palm Island Voice:
We did it with Bernadette Boscacci and also
with Bwgcolman Community School teacher
Michelle Hall. We were writing about what
we want on Palm Island. Some of the things
we wrote about were: more houses, respect,
stopping violence, racism and keeping drugs
off Palm Island.
In the workshops we learned how to make
stencils and print our designs. It was easy and
we had a lot of fun.
We would like to have more workshops in the
future.
